Step TWO
Start Gathering the documents you will need in order to apply for the program.
- Drivers License or State-Issued ID
- Birth Certificate or Passport
- Social Security Card
And one of the following
- Highschool Diploma and Transcripts
OR
- GED Certificate and Test Scores
We use these documents to register our apprentices with Miami Dade County, the State, as well as the National Union. College transcripts or diplomas will not be accepted in place of a highschool diploma or transcripts.
Step tHREE
Start working. Before you are fully enrolled in the school, you can start working as a plumbing apprentice, there is no experience required. When we give you a call, we will discuss the union's employment process!
Frequently Asked Questions
How old do i have to be?
All of our applicants need to be 18 years of age or older at the time of registration in order to be accepted to the school.
What do I do if I can't make the deadline?
We accept applications year-round, and if you are unable to meet the deadline, you can continue to work until we re-open applications for the next round. You won't lose your spot, or your job.
What if I Only Have some of my Documents?
While we require all of the above listed documentation to register our apprentices, you can start working before you have everything. Applying to, or acceptance to the school is not a requirement of working for the union.
